ABSTRACT
As outlined in Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 targeting Quality Education, access to inclusive and equitable education is recognized as a fundamental catalyst for achieving sustainable development. However, the transition into graduate school, particularly during the crucial initial trimester, presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities that can significantly shape the experiences and outcomes of students. Providing assistance to graduate students contributes to fostering a great experience within graduate school. By offering tailored support and resources, institutions can create an environment where graduate students feel valued, supported, and empowered to excel in their studies and research endeavors. The enhanced overall graduate education experience may also help ensure low attrition rate. This descriptive case study had a total of twelve (12) representatives from the six (6) programs of the Graduate School Department. Some of the key findings of this study were the pertinent challenges faced by the students during the first trimester namely research skill expectations, balancing work-life-study, time, and financial constraints. The gathered data were utilized to craft inform policy and practice that can enhance the overall experience of the students. Whatever improvement is put in the department procedure means additional measure to assist the students in finishing their degrees.
