The current trend in education is to integrate the latest innovation brought upon by the Fourth Industrial Revolution or IR 4.0 which resulted in the creation of a new education landscape, the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Education or FIRE. Together with the current COVID-19 pandemic and the creation of the new normal that focuses on online learning and dependence on technology, it gave rise to the issues of implementation, readiness, and accessibility. The main objective of this research is to identify the grade 7 student’s challenges during this online learning setup and their coping mechanism to develop a support mechanism framework to help students be more digitally resilient. This study found out that problems with the internet and gadgets and difficulty in accessing the LMS and adjusting to the new normal are their challenges in online classes, with their coping mechanism to just self-study, which includes actions such as browsing the internet for additional information, followed by asking their teachers and classmates for help, and recreational activities. As a result, the ICPE framework is created which is about Connecting with students, identifying the problems, and providing learning opportunities and solutions, or simply framework is the strategy that can be used to establish a support mechanism strategy and to help students cope with the new normal in education.
